Question 1

What is the best scheduling app for a small business?

Accepted Answer

Who's On Today is a top choice for small businesses because it combines employee scheduling, time clock, timesheets, time-off management and shift coverage in one simple app — for a single flat price with no per-user fees and no locked features. It's built specifically for small teams like restaurants, cafes, retail shops, salons and clinics that need something powerful but easy to use.

Question 2

Is there a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You can start Who's On Today free, set up your team, and try every feature before you pay anything. There's no credit card required to get started and you can cancel anytime.

Question 3

How much does Who's On Today cost?

Accepted Answer

Who's On Today offers two simple plans: Starter at $29/month for small, focused teams (up to 10 people) who want rock-solid scheduling and time tracking, and Pro at $59/month for growing teams that want the full toolkit — rewards, team chat, labor reports, and unlimited members. Both plans include a 14-day free trial with no credit card required, and you can save two months with annual billing.

Question 4

Can employees clock in and out from a phone or tablet?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Employees can clock in and out with one tap from their own phone, or you can set up a shared tablet in Kiosk Mode where staff clock in using a private 4-digit PIN. Every punch is tracked to the minute automatically.

Question 5

Does it handle time off and shift coverage?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. Employees can request time off and post shifts they need covered, and managers can approve requests in a couple of taps. Who's On Today even includes a coverage marketplace where teammates can pick up open shifts.

Question 6

Can I export timesheets for payroll?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Who's On Today auto-generates timesheets from your team's clock-in and clock-out times, and you can export them as a CSV that works with payroll systems like Gusto and QuickBooks.

Question 7

Is Who's On Today good for restaurants and retail?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Who's On Today is designed for hourly teams like restaurants, cafes, bars, retail stores, salons and clinics — anywhere you schedule shifts, track hours and manage a crew. Features like Kiosk Mode, coverage pay and labor cost reports are built for exactly these businesses.

Question 8

Do I have to pay more as my team grows?

Accepted Answer

No. Neither plan charges per user — Starter covers up to 10 team members at one flat price, and Pro gives you unlimited members at one flat price. When you outgrow Starter, you can move to Pro anytime and your data comes right with you. Every new feature we build is included automatically at no extra cost.
